Flowers for Chinese New Year

Simple arrangements of flowers can really brighten up the corners of the house. It is also customary to have lots of flowers during Chinese New Year. As they say, when the flowers blossom, prosperity comes along. My favourite flower is the white Eustoma but red is the colour of the festival so I chose some beautiful red carnations and a bunch of sweet William. Sweet William consists of small flower bunches of the sweetest pastel colours such as white, violet, purple and pink. They are truly unique and relatively inexpensive when bought from the wholesalers. But this year, Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day fall on the same day - Feb 14 and prices have gone up.
